Former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana has been released from Chanchalguda jail today this morning in the wake of CBI special court granting interim bail to Mopidevi. It may be noted that Mopidevi wore Ayyappa Swamy mala and asked the court to permit him to visit Shabarimala, where the sanctum sanctorum of Ayyappa Swamy exists.

It may be recalled that Mopidevi was arrested a few months ago in connection with irregularities in allotments of lands to Vanpic project. He was arrested when he the minister following which he tendered the resignation to his ministry, which was accepted by the chief minister.
