Jayalalithaa makes 'Sankranti' food affordable!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa makes food affordable for the poor in this festive season. Meals are offered at Rs five only, while Idly is just Rs 1 and curd rice is Rs 3 only.  All this for the convenience of the weaker sections who could not afford. The novel initiative would be served through 1000 special counters opened by the government across the state. The government has allocated a huge budget for this special program. This is the CM's special Pongal gift to the public.

Ms Jayalalithaa turned a different genre administrator after she sweeped to power swiping the former DMK government, in 2011. Ever since she took to the seat, the CM had been implementing novel initiatives to share the government's exchequer with the poor through welfare schemes which were just on paper in most states, whereas Tamil Nadu citizens enjoyed in reality.

Wishesh bows to the head of this state for her visionary schemes to erase the disparity between the affordable and unaffordable. Students were given laptops, women were gifted domestic accessories and men were given tools to survive, in addition to enormous grants given to artisan communities.

Within a year the state had progressed beyond expectations, as she offered special sops for he industry to revive and welcomed new investments. The Detroit of the nation houses the best global automobile giants.

Hope the CM also plans something to curb the raising power crisis in the state. Wonder why other states are lagging behind to formulate novel schemes that would benefit the weaker sections largely. (Wishesh AarKay)
