Universal star Kamal Haasan has been facing obstacles in showing his Vishwaroopam. After Vishwaroopam DTH controversy, the banning of the film has now become a pain in the neck to this versatile actor. Yes, the Tamil Nadu Government has imposed a ban on this movie after a group visited the government and sought a ban on the movie stating that it would be hurting their sentiments besides disturbing the peace and tranquility in the society.  While the movie was supposed to hit the screen on January 25, there has been no information now as to when the movie would be released. In Andhra Pradesh there's, however, no such ban imposed on the movie. But then the movie can be released in Telugu version only when it can be released in its straight version in Tamil Nadu. Therefore, no one surely knows about Vishwaroopam's release.

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan reacted on this ban and said that he would fight the issue legally.  He has also asked the government to the culture of banning feature films. More than two years Kamal Haasan worked apparently round the clock in this movie, which was directed by him. When the movie is all set for a grand release, the sudden stopping of movie release is not affecting just Kamal Haasan but all movie lovers, who have been awaiting Kamal's Vishwaroopam.
