Governor ESL Narasimhan has offered flowers and paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, at Bapu Ghat today to mark his 65th death anniversary. Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, minister Geeta Reddy and other ministers were present over there when Governor paid tributes to MK Gandhi. They even took part in all religious prayers that were held at Bapu Ghat.
Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead by Nathuran Gadse on January 30. Gandhi was a person who was looked upon as a role model by not just in our country but across the globe. He was instrumental in instilling morals amongst scores of Indians and took an active part in fighting independence for India through non-violent methods. When Gandhi was assassinated, New York Times news daily, published in the United States reported that Gandhi is killed by a Hindu; India Shaken, World Mourns; 15 die in Rioting in Mumbai.
