Reliance Industries Limited chairman Mukesh Ambani's wife, Nita Ambani has today visited Balkampet Ellamma temple in Hyderabad. She offered special prayers to the presiding deity Yellamma Ammavaru at the temple.
The temple authorities have welcomed her with a garland. She even kept a bonam on her head (a pot decorated with vermillion and turmeric) in which cooked rice is offered to the deity as gratitude.
Temple authorities, after performance of the rituals, presented her holy clothes that included even saree. Nita Ambani was draped in a simple wheat colored salwar kameez. Balkampet Yellamma temple is a famous shrine that attracts people from across the country especially during Bonaalu festival.
