CAG submits its report to assembly

Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has submitted its report to the assembly today exactly a day after chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy stating that CAG report is no holy scripture. This report was on the state's economic condition. The report has highlighted many flaws in the budget and even mentioned that there were flaws in the financial budget.

CAG report said that despite releasing Rs. 49,516 towards pending projects, there has been no use as there are 228 pending projects in the state. Further, the report said that there was no proper planning for drinking water allocation. It even mentioned that 100 crore was allocated for drinking water out of which not even one rupee was released.

Commenting on the education, CAG report said that compared to other states the budget allotted to educational sector was low. This clearly indicates that education was not given due importance in the budget.  With this CAG report and the heavy criticism from the opposition parties, one can undoubtedly say that Congress rule is reeling under pressure.
