Rituparno Ghosh passed away

The famous film Director Rituparno Ghosh of West Bengal passed away today in the morning at 7.30 am at his residence in Kolkata.  He was suffering from Pancreatitis for some time and today he breathed his last due to cardiac arrest.  

Rituparno Ghosh (49) made national award winners and most acclaimed movies like "Unishe April", "Dahan", "Asukh", "Rain Coat", "Hirer Angti", "Nouka Dubi", "Antar Mahal", "Shobh Charitro", "Kalponik", "The Last Lear", "Utsav", "Chokher Bali" etc.  He received National Award in 1994 for "Hirer Angti" and special Jury award in 2012 for "Abomos".

He contributed to the Bengali Cinema for 19 years and made widely acclaimed films.  Many film personalities expressed shock on his death and visited his residence to see him for the last time and pay tributes.
