The President of the Bharatiya Janata Party Rajnath Singh rejected L.K.Advani's resignation.  Venkaiah Naidu, V.K.Malhotra and other senior leaders are trying to pacify Advani to reconsider his resignation.  

Congress Party’s Official Spokesman Janardan Dwivedi said that BJP’s devastation started with Modi’s taking charge of National Politics and Advani’s resignation is only the beginning.

Nitish Kumar, Leader of JD-U which was the second largest party in NDA always was opposing for the importance given to Narendra Modi in BJP, making him a hero and calling him the party’s Prime Ministerial Candidate.  

NCP spokesperson Mahesh Tapase said that BJP is a party with a difference- that is they have differences and it is evident with the resignation of Advani.  He expressed his strong belief that UPA will come to power again in 2014 as NDA is fate is ‘sealed’.
