India wins the Championship title in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 held at Birmingham.  

After entering the finals with an easy win at every stage, India finally combated England on Sunday.  But, for the dismay of the cricket lovers, nature made it difficult for the play to start.  Rains disappointed everyone.  Indians expecting an equally easy win over England too sighed in relief when the match was started but a reduced number of overs.

England having won the toss opted for fielding.  Indians fixed the target of 130 runs for England in their 20 overs.  But England could score only 124 runs the number of which was short by 5 runs even to draw.  

First when the organizers wanted to announce both the teams as winners as the rain was not letting up, it made the Indians and cricket lovers thoroughly disappointed.  But later the match was reduced to 20 overs each from 50.  

The MS Dhoni team was jubilant to get Championship and also World Cup in the same year.
