The Union Minister for Tourism Chiranjeevi donated Rs.1.00 crore from the MP's fund for the development in his constituency, apart from one month salary for the relief of flood victims in Uttarakhand.
Chiranjeevi followed a call of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to MLAs and MPs to donate one month salary and Rs.10 lakhs from MLAs' and MPs' funds to help the State of Uttarakhand to come back to normalcy after the devastating floods and heavy rains that caused heavy loss to the State and also lives. Chiranjeevi's brother Pawan Kalyan also donated Rs.20 lakhs on his own.
Previously Union Minister Killi Kruparani donated Rs.10 lakhs from MP’s funds and one month’s salary.
