The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has announced that commuters are about to be burdened with higher charges. Starting today, all tickets will cost a rupee extra in the name of development. All Express, Deluxe and Super luxury buses will have conductors giving out tickets at increased prices.

Meanwhile, APSRTC has also confirmed the addition of another 1,000 buses to its fleet across 17 cities . Tirupathi alone will have another 100 buses in the future owing to increasing influx of devotees and tourists.

With the developments, the corporation plans to increase revenue while introducing new services.
