A rescue team of 74 deployed at Guptakashi in Kedarnath are hit by diseases due to non availability of food and medicines.
The situation was reported to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) by the health department at Guptakashi. 40 out of the team are suffering from diarrhea and gastroenteritis.
The supplies and medicines that were to be airdropped are ready in two special planes but the bad weather is keeping them from doing it for the last two days as the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand says. He says that the poor visibility and bad weather is obstructing them from airdropping. Rains are still continuously down pouring in that area.
The rescuers in the flash floods hit areas in Uttarakhand in the month of June are now waiting for someone to come to their rescue.
