The President of United States Obama showed high respects to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is on his US tour and broke protocol for the sake of giving farewell to PM while he was leaving after discussions with Obama.  

After having discussions with Manmohan Singh in the Oval Office of the White House, the President Obama came down to the portico to bid good bye to Manmohan Singh which is a rare warm gesture from the President that is not witnessed for some time in the past.  Protocol officers at the White House said that the President considers Manmohan Singh as a great leader, good statesman and great economist.   

After the meeting is over Obama said that Manmohan Singh as India’s Prime Minsiter is an important person to USA and a personal friend to him.  Manmohan Singh also appreciated the cooperative nature of Obama in strengthening bilateral relations between two countries in many fields.
