PM and Aspiring PM Share Dais

The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is inaugurating the National Memorial of Sardar Patel in Gujarat. Manmohan Singh ensured Narender Modi's presence on the occasion as Chief Minister of Gujarat.  That way the two the present PM and the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate are meeting and will be seen together for some time.  It is interesting to see Narender Modi, who has been talking about the Government’s inability in the economic front and security, receiving the PM as the State’s CM.

BJP has been accusing the Congress Government that Sardar Patel the first Home Minister of India was ignored not giving due respects to him.  Congress party is desirous of expressing that the Congress party has not forgotten the Iron Man Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel who integrated India after Independence by inaugurating the Memorial.  The Union Minister and Chairman of Trust Dinshah Patel says that Modi has not contributed anything to the Trust like his predecessor Keshubhai Patel.

The Sardar Patel Memorial is situated in the Moti Shahi Mahal constructed by Moghul Emperor Shahjahan in 1600s.

AICC Chief Secretary Digvijay Singh in his twitter battle writes that the Loh Purush Sardar Patel banned RSS for inciting communal violence.  He also complimented Modi for laying founding stone on Oct 31 for the statue of 182 meter height of Sardar Patel at Sardar Sarovar Dam.  Digvijay also wondered that BJP considers only Gandhi and Patel as heroes of Independence Movement as if there were no other leaders as per them.
