Assembly adjourned to 17 January

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been adjourned to 17th of January following its completion of second round debate on Andhra Pradesh Reorganization bill 2013. Friday was the last day of debate and many leaders have expressed their voice today. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) floor leader Etela Rajender welcome the bill and said, β€œ60 years of struggle will soon come to an end. Telangana's self respect will be restored in the separate state.”

Few shocking incidents took place in today's Assembly. When government whip Dronamraju Srinivas was talking about the Telangana Bill, he raised objections over TRS leader Etela's speech. TRS MLAs rushed at his chair, Minister Gade Venkat Reddy stopped them, irked by this TRS MLAs pushed Venkat Reddy away which created ruckus in the house.

Assembly Affairs Minister Sailajanath fumed over TRS MLAs action and said it is undemocratic act. Later Etela Rajender expressed his regret over the act of his fellow members.

Bellampalli MLA Gunda Mallesh said, β€œall the members should express their opinion. We are in the verge of historic development of Andhra Pradesh.” After Mallesh's speech, Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the house to meet on 17th of January which will be the last session for debate on T-Bill.
