Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after taking oath directed his cabinet colleagues to set a 100 days agenda for work and complete them within the given deadline. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu liked this concept and he also directed his cabinet members to come up with the same 100 days of work and wrap it up accordingly. Now another Chief Minister is set to follow this similar concept and the boss is, Narendra Modi's successor Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel.
On Monday, Patel announced a road map for governance for the next hundred days and they will focus on 11 areas where the government is not upto its mark. Gujarat government which is lacking behind in Human Development, has rolled out new ideas to able to keep up with the industrial development.
The other areas where the government zeroed upon to concentrate include women empowerment, nutrition, cleanliness, strengthening of public services, filling up of government vacancies, urban development, training of government employees and smart schools. Apart from this, Gujarat government has launched the sanitation drive, through this, it will complete construction of 50,000 personal toilets in rural areas and approve another 85,000 in the next hundred days. Further the government is likely to introduce e-learning across 500 smart schools and launch cleanliness drive across all schools in the state.
Similarly, the government has decided to fill 20,000 vacancies within the year 2014 and would organize 347 Rozgar Bharti Mela that would generate 75,000 jobs. Overall, Gujarat government has set clear cut agenda to work for the next three months and how far they have completed their task will be revealed in the progress report of Gujarat.
