A father of 17 year old has appealed to Human Resource Development ministry for justice as he alleges that his daughter killed herself because of harassment by her school teachers. A class XI student, and a class topper, Kamalika Das was alleged of not doing her homework and the next day, the teachers have called her mother Arunima. Kamalika's mother was told that the girl is characterless, arrogant and would expel her from school. Depressed by this allegations, Kamalika reached to an old apartment once where she lived with her parents, climbed the roof and committed suicide.

Before leaving the home, Kamalika wrote a farewell note and dropped it at her present home. Father of Kamalika read the letter and filed a complaint against two school teachers and principal of the school. Further, he approached the Union Human Resource Development ministry for justice while the concerned officials said, the issues will be looked into and necessary action would be taken. He went to create a Facebook page too.

Kamailka is set to appear her plus one exams this March and she was supposed to turn 18 next month but unfortunately, she took a drastic step in her life.
