Mumbai will be awake 24 Hrs

Soon Mumbai will have a nightlife and eateries, pubs, bars, and entertainment joints will be open round the clock. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has accepted the proposal made by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation [BMC] to open 'nightlife zones' and after discussions with ally Shiv Sena, the proposal is likely to be introduced in legislative assembly when it will be meeting.

Non-residential areas, malls and some business districts will fall under this 'nightlife zones' and hotels, medical shops [pharmacies], milk shops, cafeterias and malls will be brought under this segment. The Maharashtra tourism department too did not oppose this move and gave a no objection certificate to the government for running the pubs and bars 24 hours. However, the department asked the government not to establish these nightlife zones at residential areas which cause inconvenience to the residents.

Kala Ghoda, Nariman Point, Marine Drive, Bandra-Kurla Complex [BKC] and Carter Road are being considered for nightlife zones as they are open till wee hours. Less expensive food joints will be set up at railways and highways which could indirectly boost the tourism and revenue for the government. Seems like the BJP-Shiv Sena is doing a bit to Mumbai in the global map.
