Child prodigy sets National Archery record

Dolly Shivani Cheruki a two year girl had set a new national record in archery by scoring 200 points over five and seven meter distances. The new national record champion was groomed from childhood to become an archer after the sad demise of her brother and sister.

Dolly was conceived through Surrogacy after the death of her brother in road accident in 2010. He was an international archer and coach. Also the couple lost their eldest daughter in 2004. After their deaths, parents decided to have a child and wanted to make her an archery champion.

Dolly started practicing archery since being a toddler with the special arrows made out of carbon by her parents. According to the Biswaroop Chowdhury of India Book of Records, Dolly won gold medal by firing 72 arrows in 24 attempts over the 5-metre and 7-metre distances. This achievement gives a hope for a champion of archery in the future.
