Former Secondary Education Minister and Rural development minister Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad is likely to join TDP soon.
Vara Prasad, who is an ardent follower of YS Rajashekhar Reddy, the former Chief Minister of joint Andhra Pradesh, is expected to join YSR congress party in the beginning and in fact, regarding this, it was also heard that, a few days back, he is going to join in the YSRCP itself, as he is called by Ambati Rambabu, with Jagan’s consent.
Who influenced Dokka to join in TDP?
But it seems Guntur TDP MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, who is treated as a guru by Dokka, advised him, not to opt YSRCP and so is shifting towards TDP now.
Regarding this, reportedly, Nara Lokesh already spoke to Dokka over the phone and invited him into the party. On the other side, even Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was found, happy to invite Dokka into TDP officially.
From SC community, Dokka is the senior leader and he has been in Congress since long and did not quit the party, even after its complete rout in general elections as the party bifurcated Andhra Pradesh in unilateral fashion which received severe flak in the successor state.

At the time, where the TDP leaders are joining in the opposition party TRS, a single senior leader Dokka joining from other party into TDP will have a positive hope on the future to the party members.
