Rishikeshwari, the girl who committed suicide, showed mercy in the suicide note, but the student organizations protest for a right judgment for Rishikeshwari suicide issue.
It is known that, Rishikeshwari, a B.Arch first year student in Acharya Nagarjuna University committed suicide, after she was unable to face the torture from her seniors. After a detailed inquiry by the police and other officials, a suicide note and Rishikeshwari’s personal diary was found out.
In the diary, it is specified that, she was being tortured by the seniors regularly. Rishikeshwari specified that, she was forced to walk in the corridor semi nude and that was captured by the senior girls in the camera and passed on the video to other male senior students in the college.
“I never hid anything from saying to my father, but had to hide this. Children should not be loved by the parents to the fullest, as they will be unable to tackle with the rest of the world,” Rishikeshwari said.
She pleaded her parents, not to cry for her and asked them to donate her body parts to the needy. She thanked her seniors Avinash, Lavanya, Deepa and Prasad for their support. Rishikeshwari further mentioned in the suicide note that, to realize their mistake and not to harass any other student again.

On the other side, the university students alleged that, the principal conducted rave parties, collecting the money from the students. They even presented a video of the principal, where he was spotted dancing with the girl students in the college. Students alleged that, though he was informed about Rishikeshwari situation many times, he never responded properly.
After knowing this, the principal was suspended. The AISF strongly demanded the proper judgment in Rishikeshwari case. All the four students, who are alleged to be involved in the case, are arrested along with the lecturer Sri Charan.
Currently, along with the student organizations, even the Acharya Nagarjuna university students are fighting for the proper justice on THE Rishikeshwari suicide issue.
