Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Hyderabad, is going to be set up in Andhra Pradesh, due to the state bifurcation issues.
 
After the Telugu states are bifurcated as Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, a number of issues are being faced by the dual state residents in various forms. In the next nine years, all the AP people are anyway going to leave the Telangana state.

So keeping this in mind, Balakrishna, under whom, Basavaatharakam hospital in Hyderabad is serving the cancer patients, decided to set up the Basavatharakam hospital in AP.

Since years, a huge number of people benefitted through the hospital. Especially, the poor cancer patients are getting the world’s one of the best treatment for free.

Land for Basavatharam hospital in AP, by the government

But after 9 years, AP people finds tough to reach the hospital. So Balakrishna is setting up the hospital with Rs.500 crores investment, and in 50 acres of land in Nallapadu, Guntur. A number of NRIs are showing interest to donate for the construction of the hospital. The 50 acres of land will be given by the AP government itself.  

After new Basavatharam hospital in AP, Hyderabad hospital closes?

On the other side, there is no information, whether the present hospital in Hyderabad would continue its operations in Telangana state or winds up after the new hospital was set up in Guntur. The sources say that, there is no scope of Basavatarakam hospital services, to continue its operations in the state.

Naidu strategy behind Basavatharam hospital in AP

The reason for this is, Balakrishna, the chief of Basavatharam hospital is an MLA from TDP, which is AP government and also the close relative of AP Chief Minister. So, though Balakrishna wants to continue the hospital in Hyderabad, Naidu might put an internal pressure to demolish it in Telangana, as there is a tough rivalry between KCR and him.  

Moreover, as the Basavatharam cancer hospital has a good reputation, Naidu is not able to afford that credit to the Telangana government. But Basavatharakam hospital provides free treatment to the poor cancer patients, regardless of their native. In that sense, even the Telangana poor cancer patients can reach up to the new Basavatharam hospital in Guntur and avail the free services.
