Mayor Anuradha’s final respects are going to be held today, where Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders, would attend it.

It is known that, Chittoor’s Mayor, Kathari Anuradha has been brutally murdered yesterday. When Anuradha was involved in a grievance session at the Corporation Bhavan, along with her husband Karathi Mohan, few miscreants, wearing burqa, entered the hall.

As it a grievance session, people felt that, they are coming to wish Anuradha and even failed to notice that, they are males. Within a few minutes of their entry, they had shot two rounds at Anuradha on her chest and eyes, which put Anuradha to the death.
 
The miscreants even attacked Anuradha's husband Kathari Mohan with knives and injured him severely. In spite of severe efforts to protect him, even Mohan lost his life, during the treatment.

The preliminary investigation stated that, those murderers have planned the sketch to kill mayor Anuradha 15 days ago and have been carefully observing her every movement since then.

After the incident, section 144 was imposed on few sensitive areas of the district. Three people got surrendered in the police station, saying that they are involved in the crime.

Mayor Anuradha murder: Dog squad stops at Chintu’s office

On the other side, Mayor’s husband, Mohan’s nephew Chintu is suspected to involve in the murder. Proving this, even the dog squad has stopped in front of the Chintu’s office.  Knowing this, the fans and followers of Anuradha, has destroyed the furniture and burnt the bikes and other things in his office.

Chintu, who is currently absconding, had disputes over mining operations, domination over market yards and municipal contract issues for the past few months. He is even accused in three murder cases earlier, one of which is attemptive murder on YSRCP leader C K Babu alias Jayachandra Reddy.

Even Mohan was alleged to assist Chintu earlier, in murder attempts. But after Anuradha got into the power, the couple reportedly started neglecting Chintu and that was severely taken by Chintu and so had planned to murder the couple.
 
A few say that, the miscreants planned to murder only Mohan, but as Anuradha interfered in between, even she was shot dead. The official details are yet to be out.
 
The couple’s final respects will be held today at Ganganapalli. Chittor district is declared as bundh, on the account of Mayor’s death.
