Pathankot attack: Mobile Phone, AK-47 Ammo found

Regarding Pathankot terror attack case, the National Investigative Agency (NIA) is trying to secure Interpol’s black corner notice to seek information about unidentified bodies of terrorists, who were killed in the attack.

As of now, the NIA officials recovered another mobile phone, binoculars, a magazine of the AK-47 rifle from Pathankot’s encounter site.

Meanwhile, on the basis of the leads provided by Indian authorities, Pakistani officials had arrested some suspects in the case.

After the arrests, Pakistan Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif ordered a Joint Investigation Team of IB, Inter-Services Intelligence, Military Intelligence, Federal Investigation Agency and Police to thoroughly probe the Pathankot attack links to Pakistan.

The sources said that, Pakistani officials have said that a key component of the evidence supplied by India does not check out the numbers that, the six attackers called in the hours, before opening fire at Pathankot, are not registered in Pakistan.

On the other side, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Home Minister Rajnath Singh, amid the uncertainty, over the Indo-Pak Foreign Secretary-level talks, scheduled in Islamabad, on January 15th, after Pathankot terror attack.

The official sources say that, on the request of Sushma Swaraj, a 20-minute one-on-one meeting was held. However, the offices of both Singh and Swaraj maintained mum on the issues discussed between the duo.  

However, the sources indicate that, Pathankot terror attack was the major issue, discussed in the meeting.
