Bonthu Ram Mohan as Hyderabad’s new mayor

Bonthu Ram Mohan, an ardent follower of Telangana Chief Minister KCR, took the responsibilities of mayor in Hyderabad, presiding over a municipal body dominated by TRS party.

42 year old Mohan is the TRS corporator from Cherlapally. He got popular, after filling Hyderabad with KCR posters, on the occasion of the first birthday of KCR, in Chief Minister’s position, that too after the formation of the separate state, Telangana.

Mohan, who was earlier an advocate, joined TRS party as a student leader and even had the experience of heading the party’s youth wing.

During the Telangana movement, about 142 cases were registered on Ram Mohan.

Though Mohan did not aim to participate in Baldia elections, he was forced to contest upon the pressure from the high command.

While Mohan is the mayor, another ardent follower of TRS and KCR, Baba Fasiyuddin is selected as the deputy mayor. He will lead the student wing of Hyderabad.
