Vijay Mallya Will Be Fine: India Says UK:- Liqour baron Vijay Mallya flew to United Kingdom and he has been residing in London in a lavish villa leading a luxurious life. Vijay Mallya owes Rs 9000 crores to Indian banks after he lent them for hiss Kingfisher Airlines. After the airline company ended up in hefty losses, he diverted all his funds and made sure that nothing much can be done by Indian banks. Some of his properties across the country have been auctioned but the banks could not recover atleast 10% of the funds they have lent Vijay Mallya. The liquor baron seems not to be bothered about what country thinks and he is making himself comfortable by maaking his presence in the sports events that are happenning in and around London.
Indian government has been trying their best to extradite Vijay Mallya back to the country and has been holding talks with the UK government. An Indian delegation led by Union Home Secretary Mr Rajiv Mehrishi reassured UK authorities that the case proceeds further. He had a meeting with Patsy Wilkinson in London, the British Counterpart after which he revealed that Indian jails too as good facilities as UK jails have. He also said that their jails have been getting better every single year.
He even informed the Arthur Road jail in Maharastra has enough facilities to send Vijay Mallya. The Home Ministry of India already informed the Maharastra government to improve the facilities of the jail where many corrupted politicians have been residing in. Vijay Mallya flew to London during March last year. A joint team of the Central Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement Directorate is in London to submit fresh evidence in the case. The charge sheet has been filed and the UK court is expected to hear about Vijay Mallya's case this year and the verdict will be revealed within few weeks after the hearings start.
