AP Boat Tragedy: Rescue Operations Continue:- The AP Boat tragedy in East Godavari district left 33 killed till date and the rescue operations are continued to trace out the rest of them. The tragedy took place on Sunday after the boat drowned down in Godavari river with almost 80 people on board. 24 of them were rescued by the locals and the rescue operations were on for the rest of them. On the third day, despite of bad weather, the navy and other agencies traced out 20 dead bodies. The total number of deaths reached 33. 20 people are still missing in the incident.

The boat is located down at 315 feet and Navy clarified that it is impossible to bring out the boat.  State Disaster Response Force along with Navy officials tried hard and clarified the same. There are no permissions to go down beyond 150 feet in Godavari river. There are talks that if the boat can be brought up, there is a chance to trace down the remaining bodies. The boat weighs huge and Godavari river is filled with sand after a steep because of which they clarified that it is impossible to bring out the drowned boat.
