14 Migrant Workers Dead After A Goods Train Runs Over Them:- 15 migrant workers who are on their way returning home to Chhattisgarh during the lockdown were hit by a running goods train in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. One migrant worker survived after he sustained injuries and the others were killed. The incident took place at 6.30 AM today between the line of Aurangabad and Jalna. The migrant workers were on their way and they fell asleep after they were completely exhausted. The officials said that they were mowed down by a goods train. The Ministry of Railways ordered an inquiry on the tragedy.
The loco pilot of the goods train tried hard to stop the train but he could not and the train hit the laborers between Badnapur and Karmad stations in Parbhani-Manmad section. The injured has been rushed to Aurangabad civil hospital. An inquiry has been ordered about the accident. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he spoke to Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal asking him to take a look about the situation. He called the accident tragic and asked all the assistance to be provided. As there is no public transport, several migrant laborers are walking to reach their homes.
