Indians Stranded in 31 Countries to Return Back Through 149 Flights:- The Indian government announced 'Vande Bharat Mission' through which all the Indians stranded in foreign countries are brought back through special flights. The first phase of Vande Bharat Mission came to an end recently and the second phase will take place between May 16th and 22nd. It is heard that the Centre is arranging 149 flights to bring back Indians from 31 countries of the globe. These also include feeder flights. 13 flights will be operated to USA, 11 flights to the United Arab Emirates, 10 flights to Canada, 9 flights to UK, 9 to Saudi Arabia, 7 to Australia and 6 flights fo Australia.

Some other flights are planned to France, Germany, Italy, Ireland and other Gulf countries, Southeast Asia. There would be one flight to Nepal and Bangladesh each. Around 2 lakh Indians are expected to be brought back to the country by the mid of May and near to 4 lakh people will be brought to India by the mid of June. The Indian government is using commercial jets, warships and military aircrafts to bring the Indians. 16 flights returned back after Vande Bharat Mission started on May 7th.
