Akhilesh Kumar, The Co-pilot of Air India Crash Flight Leaves his Pregnant Wife Behind:- Akhilesh Kumar was welcomed to Karipur Airport, Kozhikode on May 8th this year as he was a part of the Vande Bharat Mission and he was the pilot of the first flight under the mission. Three months later, Akhilesh Kumar was the co-pilot of the Air India flight that crash-landed yesterday evening in Kozikhode after it lost the control on the runway. The flight overshot the tabletop runway and plunged 35 feet below and it split into two. Akhilesh Kumar was one of the 20 people who died in the tragedy. After they circled twice, Akhilesh Kumar along with the flight captain Deepak Sathe tried to land the aircraft. The flight broke into two and it had 170 passengers on board.

Akhilesh Kumar is a native of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh and he is survived by his wife Megha who is currently pregnant. Akhilesh Kumar and Megha got married in December 2017 and is survived by his parents, two younger brothers and a sister. Akhilesh Kumar started working for Air India since 2017 and he was one who had sound knowledge on the technical details. His co-pilots and friends recalled the experience with Akhilesh Kumar. The rescue operations are currently happening and several passengers are badly injured and they are getting treated in various hospitals in Kozhikode.
