Farmer Protests: Little Progress In The Talks:- The farmers of Haryana and Punjab gathered in thousands and reached the national capital. All the roads leading to Delhi are sealed after the farmers staged protests and blocked the major borders. The fourth rounds of talks took place between the Farmer Unions and the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar last evening. The meeting went on for hours and the Centre is ready to amend some of the provisions of the new farm laws that are announced. The talks are expected to continue today and the farmers announced that the protests would continue for the eighth day and they would not step back till their demands are met.

Narendra Singh Tomar hinted that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been positive towards making changes and the final decisions would be taken after the meeting that will take place today. Shiromani Akali Dal leader Prakash Singh Badal returned back his Padma Vibhushan to support the protesting farmers. Badal penned a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind informing that there is no point of holding Padma Vibhushan. Piyush Goyal, the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution along with Som Prakash, the minister for State for Commerce and Industry were present for the meeting.
