According to the Pitch Madison Advertising Outlook 2015 report, the Indian ad industry is expected to grow quite this year as well. In 2014, the ad industry grew by 16.4 percent, almost on par with the prediction of 16.8 percent generating a revenue of Rs 37,104 crore. This growth mainly owes to the Annual elections held in May 2014. Political parties across the country used the ad very effectively and as per the predictions, the revenue was generated.
In 2015, the industry is expected to get a hike by 9.6 percent to reach a revenue of Rs 41,000 growth. The presence of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, will help the revenues to climb further, said the report. About Rs 1000 crore revenue is expected through the Cricket World Cup. The report added that Print Media will continue to contribute large share of revenue this year as well. Print Media holds 41 percent of revenue with Rs 16,0000 crore while TV retains its second position. The electronic media will reach Rs 15,500 crore revenue in 2015 which means 38.2 percent of share.
On the other hand Digital advertising is getting strengthen every day. The revenue expected from digital is Rs 5000 crore for the year 2015.
