Five hours of weekly exercise will keep away from Cancer:- As per a recent research, an exercise for five hours in a week will keep you away from cancer and will get protection against it. The study is published in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, the journal of the American College of Sports Medicine. The study was conducted on adults who are aged above 30 years and conducted to find the relationship between the cancer incidence and the physical activity. Heidi Godman, Executive Editor, Harvard Health Letter in the study told that there are 46,356 cancer patients diagnosed every year in USA. The research was done on 6 lakh adults and it revealed that 3 percent of the common cancers are due to inactivity.
Some of the cancers include kidney, colon, stomach, oesophagus, bladder, breast, and uterus. 17 percent of the people who are sitting for too long are prone for stomach cancer and 4 percent of them have chance of bladder cancer. Most of them are said to be getting less than 300 minutes of exercise in a week. All those who are physically active are away from cancers related to stomach, uterus, colon, oesophagus, breast, and bladder. The scientists and researchers suggest work out for 45 minutes in a day. A decent workout will also keep you away from heart diseases, heart stroke, dementia or diabetes. The study was conducted through PAF which means Population Attributable Fraction. It is the mathematical way for scientists to estimate about the disease.
