No Farewell Match For MS Dhoni:- Indian star cricketer, ex-skipper and wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced retirement for International cricket which left his fans in deep shock. The sudden announcement surprised many but the star cricketer will entertain the audience through IPL which is a relief for his fans. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren urged the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) to host a farewell match for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to bid a great farewell for his contribution to Indian cricket. Rajeev Shukla, the former IPL Chairman responded for this saying that there would be no farewell match for Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He said that Dhoni never asked for it and it is not possible to plan it considering the coronavirus pandemic.

Rajeev Shukla told "Mahendra Singh Dhoni never expressed or requested for a farewell match for him. Since he never expressed it, there is no question of such match happening". Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born and brought up in Ranchi. He represented Bihar, Jharkhand and East Zone. Mahendra Singh Dhoni played 131 first-class matches and scored 7038 runs in his cricket career at an average of 36.84. He made his international cricket debut in 2004 and was a game-changer for Indian cricket. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is named as the most successful captain of world cricket. Dhoni is the first and only captain to have won all the three ICC trophies.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni played 350 ODIs and scored 10,773 runs. He also played 98 T20s and scored 1617 runs. As a wicketkeeper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has 195 international stumpings which is a world record. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is representing Chennai Super Kings and started to practise for IPL 2020 season.
