Canadian smartphone company, BlackBerry launched DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 on Monday. BlackBerry DTEK 50 is priced at 21,990 and the DTEK 60 is priced at Rs 46,990. The company also announced a new distribution partnership with Optimus.

Both BlackBerry DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 has DTEK Security App in-built. The app constantly monitor the use of other applications installed in the device. The app sends users notifications whenever their privacy is at risk.
“The company now has four pillars: enterprise solutions, technology solutions, secure messaging and secure handsets,” explained BlackBerry India head Narendra Nayak.
Alex Thurber, senior VP of global device sales, said "the company takes its tagline of securely connecting the world very seriously. Now, this function spears across all operating systems and platforms and is not limited to BB OS like before. What you have on your phone is your life."
Thurber said "to underline the importance of privacy these days.
The DTEK phones come with inbuilt cryptographic features along with a secure bootloader and the DTEK app that secures the apps downloaded on it. At the end of the day your are interacting with the software and that is our expertise.”
