RaNa's films inviting controversies

ranaTollywood budding hero Daggubati RaNa’s career graph has been steadily going up giving unprecedented momentum to his career and turning him into a multilingual hero but his movies have been grabbing the eyeballs for controversies.

While the Hindi film ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, which features him alongside Bollywood hero Abhishek Bachchan and the sultry Bipasa Basu, has landed itself into a controversy for depicting Goa in a negative frame and showing it a hub of drug addicts, his latest Telugu film Nenu Naa Rakshasi’s audio has fetched him another controversy.

The tune for the ‘Padithinammoo’ song in the ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ is alleged to have been directly lifted from legendary singer Michael Jackson’s song ‘Leave me alone’. The song has rubbed the feelings of Michael Jackson’s fans and they seemed to be up in arms against the film’s music directors Vishwa and Rahman.

Vishwa has himself admitted that he has drawn inspiration for the song from Jackson’s classic, ‘leave me alone’ saying that he had modified it by using ‘Mohana’ raagam and ‘Madhyamavati’. ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi,’ which also features Ileana D'Cruz in the female lead role and directed by Puri Jagganath, will hit the screens on April 28.
