N. Sankar directed movie ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’ in which the popular hero Jagapathi Babu acted in the main role of a Telangana martyr, is facing problems from the censor board, according to sources.
Sankar wanted to release the movie on January 28 but the Censor Board which had a screening of the movie had reportedly objected to some scenes arguing that they may hurt the sentiments of the people of a region. With the objections of censor, the release of the movie on 28 has become doubtful.
While the censor board officials seem to have indicated that they would take a final decision on the movie after viewing it once again tomorrow or day after, Telangana activists started attacking the Board describing it as a conspiracy of the protagonists of united AP.
“When a faction movie like ‘Rakta Charitra’ was cleared by the censors, why can’t they clear a movie based on a genuine agitation?” they seem to be asking.
