Hyderabad central crime station police may arrest the Tollywood producer Singanamala Ramesh at any moment now as his petitions for the anticipatory bail were rejected by the courts.
The crime police have registered three separate cases against Ramesh based on complaints from film financier Vyjayanti Reddy and owners of Shalimar Videos. “Another producer C. Kalyan is a co-accused in two of the cases,” CCS sources said adding that the police may arrest him any moment now.
Meanwhile, CCS police have registered another case against Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in Maddelacheruvu Suri murder case based on a complaint by one Mr Sudheer Reddy, a landlord from Maheswaram.
In his complaint, Sudheer Reddy said that Bhanu Kian forcibly made him register 5.15 acres of land at Pendyal in Maheswaram mandal in his name in February 2010 threatening him with dire consequences. The police booked case against Bhanu under sections 383 (Extortion) and 506 (Criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code after verifying the complaint.
