Suriya's action film Singham is releasing in theaters on 5th July. Release date has been confirmed after much speculation about its release. The film is a sequel to the earlier released Singam, which hit theaters in 2010 and garnered much attention.

Singam is a Tamil masala fare produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under his Prince Pictures banner. It is directed by Hari and has Anushka playing a glamorous role opposite Suriya. Bubbly Hansika Motwani is the other lead in the film.

Music by Devi Sri Prasad is another highlight for the film. The first part had average reviews and many commented on its action and masala content. The second part is also said to be packed with enough action to give the audiences a sufficient dose of this genre.
