Whoever the hero, and whatever the status he enjoy, investing more than a certain limit on him is always a risk factor. Sometimes, even though the movie is a hit, it may not procure all the investments and due to this, the existence of that particular producers too may be lost.
Presently, Aascar V Ravichandran is almost in this position. It is known that he is identified for his big budgeted movies like I, Aparichithudu etc. He also made a comfortable investment in Kamal's Vishwaroopam 1st and 2nd parts.
Now the issue is, Ravi lost a huge amount of money from I. The movie was actually expected to be the blockbuster, but it could not reach the expectations of the audience and was termed as an average. However, because of the Vikram's and Shankar's craze, the film could manage to get high openings, but it could not continue it after a week. Adding to this, he also invested crores in Vijay's Velayudham which was again a failure at the box office.
This left Ravi into financial losses and now the Indian Overseas Bank in Chennai seized a property of him whose worth is 96 plus crore.
Presently all his hopes are on his current big release Vishwaroopam 2. He is expecting that this movie can make him come out of this situation. Let us hope that it happens for sure as we need such kind of daring producers in the industry and only then we can enjoy some quality films.
