“Not due to fear, it is because, Baahubali deserves a solo release, we should all respect and be proud of it,” Mahesh said.
Mahesh’s Srimanthudu, which is actually supposed to be released in August, postponed the release date, keeping Baahubali release in mind.
But the issue was diverted in the different sense saying that, Srimanthudu team got scared of Baahubali’s hype and so postponed the release.
However, denying all those rumors, Mahesh made a statement that, “Baahubali is one such huge film, where the Telugu audience should be proud of. Its success is very crucial for Telugu cinema. In fact, it is our duty, to pray about the film’s success.”
Mahesh, who attended the Rainbow hospital, after being named as the goodwill ambassador, spoke about the issue in the media.
He further added that, it is better if two big movies had a good gap in the release dates, implying that it would be beneficial to both the movies.
Initially, Srimanthudu was decided to release on July 17th, but now, the film is going to hit the screens on August 7th.
If this type of understanding is spread throughout the film industry, then the increase in the success rate of the films might not be a question soon.
