Veteran Singer Rama Krishna passed away

The popular Telugu playback singer Ramakrishna died on Wednesday, as he was suffering from cancer for quite some time.

Ramakrishna, who was born in 1947, sang nearly 5,000 songs and set a separate identity for himself. He started his career at All India Radio as a singer on a popular show called Yuva Vani.

Ramakrishna is a nephew of another popular playback singer P Susheela and also the father of Sai Kiran, who played a lead role in Premisthe movie. Along with Sai and his wife Jyothi, he had a daughter too.

RamaKrishna made his singing debut in 1972, through the Telugu song "Vayase Oka Poolathota" from "Vichitra Bandham". Starting from there, he never had to look back in his career and is a part of the then block buster movies like "Andala Ramudu", "Sharada", "Alluri Seetharama Raju", "Muthyala Muggu" and "Amaradeepam".

Within few hours of MS Vishwanathan death news, losing another veteran singer like Ramakrishna is surely a great loss the Telugu film industry.
