While many thought that an experimental movie might not work in the present days, crashing all those rumors, Kanche was released yesterday and gained a positive buzz among the audience.
Right from the first show, the movie was unanimously declared as a super hit. But though the talk is positive, it can still be said that, Kanche might not attract the ‘C’ centre audience, who are considered as, the key revenue givers, for any movie.
Kanche has least commercial elements and is typically in director Krish’s style, who earlier directed some through provoking films like Gamyam, Vedam and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.
Varun Tej and Pragya’s performance takes Kanche movie to the next level. Especially Varun Tej’s performance in the war episodes is the major highlight of the movie. The war episodes are shot with great care and one, who is watching the film, can feel his/her presence in the second world war period.
Kanche has completely gone on a serious note. There is no such popcorn entertainment in the film. That actually dip the movie. Moreover, the second half has several flaws in war scenes, and at a time, they even test the patience of the audience.
Krish could adapt the story in his style, but could not give a proper narration in the second half. In many scenes, the required intensity is lost and that further dips the movie.
But however, Kanche will be remaining as a good thought provoking movie after a long time, regardless of the records and collections.
