Yesteryear actress, Raasi is all set to start her second innings and regarding this, she already signed a movie under Nandini Reddy’s direction.

Just like all her co-actresses like Soundarya, Meena, Rambha and a few others, even Raasi was well identified for her glamor and family roles. Especially, she was considered as the perfect option, opposite the family heroes, Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth.

But after the entry of new heroines, just like all her co-actresses, even Raasi lost her form as the heroine. But that did not stop her from continuing the films.

Raasi did not mind to accept item songs and spicy roles in the movies like Venky, Nijam etc.

It was after her marriage, she completely stayed away from the films. After 11 years, now Nandini Reddy, who was immensely appreciated for her directional skills in her debut film ‘Ala Modalaindi’, is keen on bringing Raasi into her upcoming film ‘Kalyana Vaibhogame’. Naga Shourya and Malavika Nair are the lead pair in the movie.

Speaking about the project, Raasi said, “Nandini Reddy approached me when my baby was 3 months old and so I could not accept the role at that time. But she again consulted me and narrated the script later, I liked my role and even my baby is 8 months old now. So I accepted the role.”

She further criticized that the present films are not giving any importance to the heroines and said that she was lucky to get good family oriented roles in those days. She opined that, Telugu girls should also be given importance in the movies.

Raasi added that, she is open only to the neat roles, which has some importance and not ready to do all vulgar roles.

Whatever it is, Raasi, who occupied a comfortable position in family audience hearts, is again going to be spotted on the screen. Truly, it would be a good news for those who are waiting for this family beauty.
