When a movie is made, targeting the family audience, there are more chances for it to witness the success. But that does not mean, it can even do good to the producers and distributors. The reason is obvious that, a movie without ‘C’ class elements, would be tough to gain the collections.
The successful films like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu already proved it, But unlike before, now Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam, touted to be a family entertainer, is showing the storm in the pre-release business.
While the distribution rights in both the Telugu states, amounted to Rs. 50 crores, other states and rest of India rights and also overseas rights amounted to another Rs. 32 crores. Adding to this, the audio and satellite rights were sold for Rs. 20 crores. So all together, the MaheshBabu’s starrer already crossed Rs. 100 crores business, even before the release.
If the movie, after the release, secures a positive talk, then there would be no stop to Brahmotsavam and would also be the first non-Baahubali project, to reach Rs. 100 crores collections, which the Tollywood is awaiting since long.
The recently released Madhuram Madhuram song teaser of Brahmotsavam, got a mixed response. However, the later released posters featuring Mahesh and Kajal, is heating up the expectations further.
