Ace director SS Rajamouli’s epic movie, Baahubali 2, is set to cross the collection mark of $3 million at North American box office in premiere shows.

The first part of the movie, Baahubali: The beginning was a blockbuster at the US box office with its lifetime collection surpassing the $8 million mark. Its success has generated a lot of buzz about the sequel. Baahubali 2 has earned Rs 44 crore from the sale of its theatrical rights for the country and it is the all-time highest amount paid for the distribution rights of any Indian film. Great India Films, which has acquired the distribution rights of Baahubali 2, has booked over 800 screens in the country and this number also includes 50 IMAX theatres. This will be the first Indian film to release in IMAX theatres in the country. The distribution house also has plans to hold premiere shows in a large number of cinema halls on April 27.

Baahubali 2 will be released in four languages in three different formats. The movie will be premiered in three languages - Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, and depending on the format, the price ticket of the movie will range from $30 to $40, says reports. The highest amount paid for any Indian film for its premiere shows in the country, was $ 25, says reports. The film’s prequel was premiered in over 175 screens and its ticket pricing was not more than $25. Rajamoul’s epic movie is the all-time biggest opening Indian film, while Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 and Aamir Khan’s Dangal are in second and third spots with their collections of $1.25 million and $1 million, respectively.

Now, Baahubali 2 is reportedly being premiered in over 600 screens across North America. Its screen count and ticket prices are much bigger than that of the first installment of the Baahubali film series. Considering these facts, Baahubali: The Conclusion will collect more than $3.50 million at the US box office in premiere shows. It is likely to cross $10 million mark in its opening weekend.
