Samantha Was The First Consideration For Pushpa?:- Samantha Akkineni is a star material and she is even the top actress after her marriage. She scored numerous hits in the recent years and several filmmakers are in talks but the actress is too choosy and not giving her nod for films. She is on a break since Oh Baby released last year and is yet to announce her next project officially. There are speculations that Samantha will take a break and the star couple Chaitu, Samantha are expecting their first baby. Samantha remained tightlipped and never responded about this.

Going with the speculations, Allu Arjun and Sukumar wanted Samantha as the leading lady in Pushpa which will start rolling soon. Samantha was approached to sign the project by Sukumar but the actress was not ready. The actress rejected the offer after which Rashmika Mandanna was finalized. Sukumar was extremely impressed with the work of Samantha in Rangasthalam and wanted her to come on to the board. Even Allu Arjun had no issues if Samantha plays the female lead.

Pushpa is an action thriller that happens in Chittoor forests and is about sandalwood smuggling. Made on a huge budget, Pushpa will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
