dum-maro-dumProducer Ramesh Sippy’s new film ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, featuring Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, Tollywood’s multilingual hero RaNa and sultry girl Bipasha Basu, will hit the screens amid controversies on April 22 across India and abroad.

The release coincides with Good Friday and the cine pundits are expressing doubts over its capacity to attract crowds on the opening day though the film will surely enjoy monopoly as there are no other noteworthy films.

The film, made with a cost of Rs.20 Cr, will open in 20 countries and 355 international locations, in addition to across more than 1000 screens in India. Good Friday happens to be a day of mourning and fasting for the Christian community and the people may not throng theatres on the opening day.

The movie may not draw crowds in other countries especially where Christians constitute majority but the producer is expecting good crowds on Easter Sunday on April 24 to celebrate the festive mood.

The story of the movie revolves around drugs, sex and violence in Goa with the main protagonist roles played by Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar, Aditya Pancholi and Rana Daggubati.
