Investigating teams probing the murder of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri have recovered a laptop from the flat in the Alekhya apartments at Madapur in Hyderabad where the slain faction leader lived during his visits to Hyderabad.

The police found the lap top locked with a password and the forensic and computer specialists have been asked to find access to the data stored in the laptop. Meanwhile, police have also learnt that the prime suspect in the murder case Mr Bhanu Kiran has established contacts with top Tollywood people including some heroines and are exploring the relations. Police believe that Bhanu invested heavily in some Tollywood productions as a benami for Suri. The flat in which Suri lived belonged to the producer Singanamala Ramesh, it is learnt.

Mr Prasad who worked as a cook to Suri during his visits to Hyderabad told police that the producer has instructed him to look after Suri’s needs whenever he comes to the flat, according to a news story published in a Telugu daily.

Police have questioned two top producers in the last two days in Hyderabad and have dispatched a team to Bangalore where Bhanu Kiran is said to have some connections. Driver Madhu Mohan who drove the car in which Suri was killed was also sent along with the team to Bangalore.
