Protestors try to rip Veena Malik's 'Silk'

In a disappointing development for Pakistani actress Veena Malik, a group of protestors are opposing her Kannada film 'Silk Sakkath Maga'. The film is similar to the Dirty Picture, in which Vidya Balan essayed the character of the famous Silk Smitha.

Veena's film, however, is believed to be not on par with Dirty Picture and is being accused of having B-grade content. Sri Ram Nene representatives have furiously opposed the release of Silk Sakkath Maga. Release of the controversial flick will be affected in several regions across Karnataka including Hubli, Belgam, Mysore and Mangalore.

Erotic scenes showing Veena have apparently not been shot aesthetically, earning Veena the ire of the protestors. The film's director Trisul is also extremely agitated, lamenting that the film cannot be stalled just because of the presence of a Pakistani actress. He tried to put his finger on the 'good' Indo-Pak relations, but opposers insist on the raunchy content being the main bone of contention.
